Drama Workshops for Children Aged 8+ Have Started at UMW!

Creativity, confidence and self-expression come together in our new drama workshops!

We are delighted to announce that our drama workshops for children aged 8 and over have officially started at Unity of Migrant Workers (UMW).

Led by drama instructor Ece Erişti, the workshops bring children together through fun, interactive drama activities, improvisation, storytelling and group exercises in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Our workshops are about much more than acting. They aim to help children:

Build confidence and self-esteem

Develop communication and self-expression skills

Strengthen teamwork and social connections

Explore imagination and creativity

Make new friends and enjoy learning together

During our first sessions, children have been taking part in imaginative activities under Ece Erişti's guidance, working together and discovering new ways to communicate through movement, storytelling and performance.

Creating a Space Where Every Child Belongs

At UMW, we believe that every child deserves opportunities to feel included, valued and confident. Our drama workshops provide a space where children from different backgrounds can come together, build friendships and learn from one another.

These activities form part of our wider commitment to supporting children, young people and families through inclusive, creative and community-based programmes.
